The Euroskankin’ Sunday Sessions was an intergenerational community music project, which took place every Sunday for 10 weeks at Gorse Hill Studios. The project entailed collaborative songwriting sessions and vocal coaching led by Sylvia Tella. Participants had the opportunity to write their own songs and work with a full live band –Stone Roots – developing their song from the studio to the stage. The project culminated in a live showcase performance of 16 original songs which were written from scratch. Some of the songs were multilingual, due to the diverse, multicultural nature of the project. The showcase featured guest performances from the Exhibit Reggae band as well as the Kajamor Family. The community also had the chance to taste homemade dishes and drinks cooked especially by the participants.
