Lorien Edwards

Lorien Edwards

I am a freelance sound engineer working on tours with Corinne Bailey Rae and other bands around the World, Taking Tour managing duties on many of the smaller tours. I work at several venues around Manchester and I am also the bass player in the Manchester band: Honeyfeet. I lead youth music workshops for Beat Bazaar working with young people in professional studio environments, supporting them to develop music and studio skills. I have been a hip hop fan since 92-93 and I was inspired by the genre to learn music production and sampling techniques. I also had a go at rapping when I was younger and performed in several hip hop bands in the early days of my music career Experience: I have minimal experience working in schools. I have delivered workshops mostly in youth centres and professional recording studios. I have delivered one after school workshop in a secondary school, but I have never worked in a primary school.
Adam Heiss

Adam Heiss

I was born in Hanover Germany, I grew up in both Manchester and Hanover. I started listening to Hip Hop music when I was about 10 years old and have been actively doing graffiti since 1996. I have done several commisions and workshops as a Graffiti artist. Through my experiance as a graffiti writer I ended up working as graphic designer for Chopped Herring Records an independant Hip Hop record label. I graduated with BA (HONS) in Photogrpahy Film and Imaging in 2008 and since collaborated with my partner Martene Rourke on several photography projects that have been exhibited in England and Germany. We also work together as commercial photographers. Experience working in school settings: In 2016 I worked as a cycle proficiancy instructor at various High Schools throughout Greater Manchester with children aged 12 and 13. I am also an assistant coach at City of Manchester Wrestling Club where I work with children aged 6 to 12.
Jordan Peacock

Jordan Peacock

El Statiko is a Turntablist/DJ from Manchester, who specializes in live remixing and blending of single and/or multiple genres. Be it Hip Hop, Bass music and Beats or classic Funk, Disco and Breaks. El Statiko is also a six times UK Turntablist champion in both competitions, DMC and IDA. Having these titles also carries over into his sets, in which he marries technical skill and musicality with forward thinking use of DJ technology. Away from his mixing style and competition wins he has supported several well-known Hip Hop artists and DJs such as; Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Jeru the Damaja, GZA, Mobb Deep, DJ Boogie Blind, DJ Woody etc.… Experience I have taught DJ skills and live computer music performance workshops, for a total 2 years overall, I don’t have much experience with delivering workshops in schools. But I have taught a variety of different individuals ranging from university students, young adults with learning disabilities, different age groups of children and also different age groups of adults. Places I’ve taught workshops and teach regularly for are Unity Radio, BIMM, Manchester Met University and DJ Gym Manchester.
Martene Rourke

Martene Rourke

I am graffiti artist and photographer from Manchester working on large and small scale paintings and drawings. I have been involved with graffiti art since 2001 and have travelled across Europe and in the United States to meet and paint with other graffiti artists. My work took me to Belgrade, Istanbul, Milan, New York and Chicago but since becoming a mother I work much more locally! My current work is a development of abstract forms inspired directly by graffiti lettering and the urban built environment. Experience I have experience running youth workshops with children from the age of 3 to 16.
Tikira Ah Tou Hibbert

Tikira Ah Tou Hibbert

I am a dancer and teacher. Over the last 10 years I have professionally taught street dance and hip hop for a variety of schools and dance academy’s throughout Manchester. I have taught all styles of dance from ISTD and RAD syllabus training right through to coaching and choreographing for UDO street dance championships. I currently run street dance workshops at Hideout Youth Zone in Gorton.
Gyopár Pávai

Gyopár Pávai

Gyopár is a professional musician, choral conductor and cultural leader. Gyopár studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, currently she is at Manchester Metropolitan University on a Educational Leadership Masters. She is also the Director of the Zsigmond Király Hungarian Cultural Club in Manchester, which organisation has set a goal to helps Hungarians in the North-West to keep live their colourful cultural traditions and also helps to integrate the families to the life in the UK. Gyopár and her organisation ofter work in partnership with Beat Bazaar Projects.
Panka Herman

Panka Herman

I started folk dancing at the age of 10 in Csíkszereda as part of the Ballad Dance group. I continued my journey as a professional dancer in the Maros Ensemble, the longest running Szekler folk dance ensemble in Transylvania. I worked with the Maros Ensemble for many many years before moving to London in 2009. There we launched the Szeredás folk dance group in Szent István House in London and ran many workshops for the community. Between 2015 and 2019 I delivered countless folk dance workshops for children and young people as part of a Children’s Dance House. I am pleased to be providing folk dance classes in Manchester and Warrington.
