Beat Bazaar Shortlisted for Manchester's Cultural Welcome Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that Beat Bazaar has been shortlisted for the Manchester Cultural Welcome Award 2026.

While the nomination recognises the success of Góbéfest, our flagship festival celebrating the cultures of Central and Eastern Europe, it also reflects the wider work that Beat Bazaar delivers throughout the year.

For more than a decade, we have worked to bring people together through culture, music, heritage, food and community engagement. From festivals and concerts to community projects, workshops and partnerships, our aim has always been to create welcoming spaces where people from different backgrounds can meet, learn from one another and celebrate what connects us.

Across Manchester, we have worked with diverse communities, artists, volunteers, schools, cultural organisations and local residents, helping to build understanding, friendships and a stronger sense of belonging. Whether welcoming international performers to Góbéfest or supporting grassroots community initiatives, creating a warm and inclusive environment is at the heart of everything we do.

To have this work recognised through a nomination for the Cultural Welcome Award is a tremendous honour, and we would like to thank everyone who has been part of the journey.
