This is a great opportunity for someone, who would like to gain hands on experience of working in the grass roots music industry. You will be helping to promote the release of an album compilation written by a collective of talented artists.
The role of PR and Marketing Volunteer will involve:
- Promoting artists & releases through our social media channels
- Writing press releases, artists bios and articles
- Developing creative content for websites, blogs and social media
- Building new and maintaining existing relationships with key contacts
- Assisting in the organisation of events and music projects
- Getting involved with creative multi media projects
You will need:
- A passion for good music, from soul to d&b, folk to funk, dub step to house, rock to reggae
- You will need to be a social media wizard with excellent social networking skills
- A good understanding of digital online music marketing
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to network
- The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- You will need to be a doer , as well as a dreamer, someone with good ideas and the drive to make things happen.
