DJ RAP

Charissa Saverio, a.k.a. DJ RAP, has been the undisputed queen of the turntables and voted the number one female DJ in the world for the last 10 years! DJ Rap has infiltrated the music industry with her arsenal of talent. She has established herself as the CEO of her labels: Propa and Impropa Talent, developed her creative direction as a full-fledged producer, and remains to be the recording artist and DJ that everyone has come to love and love dance to!

She is also a classically trained pianist and song writer, amongst many other talents! Rap has dominated such genres as house and drum & bass. However, her love for music has taken her through many reflections of genres and musical experiences. Ultimately, millions in a global capacity have embraced her and her music.

Over the course of DJ Rap's career she has collaborated and worked with many talented and influential professionals. Such talents consist of BT, Eric Morrillo, Hans Zimmer, Hybid, and DJ Tydi, to name just a few. Rap has produced music for play station, Wii, and 7 major movies. DJ Rap has created music scores, composed music, and makes custom designs of musical pieces to fit the specific needs of any project. Examples of her portfolio are evident in her work for Twix, Mission Impossible (Tom Cruise), Isolation, Run Lola Run, Enough (J-lo), Rogue Trader (Ewan McGregor) and four documentaries.

Multi-talented, accomplished, ambitious, and driven by her passion to create and her love for music, DJ Rap is not a name from music's past, it is the name of music now and an inspiration to music's future.

Ragga Twins

Ragga Twins or "RTC" are a jungle group from Hackney, England, composed of London UNITY sound system veteran MCs Deman Rocker and Flinty Badman (real names David and Trevor Destouche). They are regarded as pioneers of jungle. In 2008, Soul Jazz Records issued a compilation album of their early 1990s recordings (notably their collaborations with production team/label Shut Up and Dance) entitled Ragga Twins Step Out.

DJ Sappo

DJ Sappo is a producer and mastering engineer for over 25 years with thousands of credits including mastering Beatport No.1 LPs, and LP projects for Grammy award winning artists like Miki Howard and hip hop and drum and bass tracks and LP’s (vinyl CD, digital) from the Mouse outfit, , Dope ammo, Technique, totally Dubwise recordings, benny page , ruffneck ting, Chimpo , good2go, including official APPLE dj mixes. As well as working at BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra for 5 years as a dj and presenter.

Mark XTC

Mark XTC started his DJ-ing career at the tender age of 15 playing in places such as Fantazia, Mythology and The legendary Hacienda, wherein the late 80’s he won the North West DMC DJ Championships.

Producing with The Mix Factory, ‘Take Me Away’ was one of the first “rave anthem’s” to hit the UK singles chart and also gained some good success in the American charts.

As well as producing Mark has DJ’ed all over the world playing everything from house to hip hop with splashings of jungle and d&b at British institutions such as Helter Skelter, Dreamscape and The Hacienda to name a few.

DJ Prophecy

DJ Prophecy is one of the members of Manchester's Drum & Bass export known as NORTH BASE. He is also one of the original Squiggle Dee Mash promoters and resident DJs. His collective North Base have been causing serious damage within the dance music circuit for quite some time now. Regularly placed on lineups alongside Chase & Status, Andy C, DJ Hype and more the duo have certainly made a strong impact globally within the scene. Already having played at some of the top music festivals and clubs worldwide including Glastonbury, Amnesia Ibiza, Fabric, Andy C’s XOYO Residency, Warehouse Project Manchester, Creamfields, Ultra Europe, Metropolis, Hideout, Parklife, Snowbombing and more, NORTH BASE continue to tear up each and every club, festival and dance floor with their unique cutting edge DJ skills & productions that have already gained support from the heavy weights of the DnB world such as Pendulum, Sub Focus, Randal, Matrix & Futurebound, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, and others, regularly supporting their tracks.

DJ Outlander

DJ Outlander aka Dezzy P is Buxton's number one DJ. He was also one of the key instigators of Squiggle Dee Mash when it first began back in the nineties. DJ Outlander is an original raver with super sharp DJ skills and a great ability to play quality tunes to make you dance.

Diemond ED

Diemond ED is a veteran DJ, producer, songwriter and vocalist, well known in Manchester. He has been part of the scene for three decades, supporting and nurturing Manchester's Hip Hop community from the early nineties. Diemond ED has also been part of Beat Bazaar from the very beginning, running music workshops, mixing quality tunes and supporting the next generation of artists.

Veba

Veba, a one-woman music-machine-wizardbitch, made her name as the voice behind Rae & Christian before paving the rest of the way providing lungs for Yesking, Nightmares on Wax and Groove Armada.

As a DJ, her distinct blend of deep house, disco and house has earned her residencies at some of Manchester's finest clubs. 

Madrush MC

Madrush Mc is one of Manchester’s leading MC’s on the drum and bass scene with his versatile high energy of toasting and hosting style with the ability to hype up and control any crowd no matter how big or small that's why he has proved a true winner with all dj’s, crowds and promoters.

Now with releases already on DnB Allstars, Born On Road, Murky Digital, Eternal Muzic , Passenger Records he has been raising the bar with some of the scenes most talented and respected acts.

One of Bloc2Bloc HQ main artists run by Banner & Doe One Six One, he has even set up his own label Stand Up Speak Out so it looks like Madrush seems to just keep going and going with no sights on stopping yet.

MC Chilla

One of the original Squiggle Dee Mash MCs, MC Chilla has unique and powerful style of energy and delivery on the mic. Over the years he has performed at some of the biggest drum & bass events around the North West, appearing alongside North Base and many others.

Kerin

Kerin formerly known as Che3kz is a female artist, activist and youth mentor from Manchester. Kerin started out in youth clubs Mr M’s SNYC, Gorse Hill Studios, Proctors and Z-arts (formerly Zion Center) where she found a love for the arts and martial arts. Kerin has had a colourful career supporting JLS on a UK arena tour of 20,000 people a night in her former group ‘VIDA’ as well as supporting young people through youth work all over the UK. Kerin has taken part on BBC Radio 1xtra & Unity Radio hosting shows as well as launching her online platform ‘Hood society MCR’ Kerin also has own her business ‘Actively M.A.D’ supporting young people and adults with additional needs & disabilities to access the arts. Kerin has worked with the UK’s top producers and writers as well as being a professional street dance world champion. Kerin has performed alongside Ed Sheeran, Ghettz, Omarian, The Saturdays.

Mandy Wigby is a key figure in the creative music ecology of Manchester and beyond. She is a Manchester based musician, composer/producer and works under the aliases Architects of Rosslyn with Howard Jacobs & The Wig. AoR have worked on many multi-media projects and live cinema performances. As The Wig, she channels her love of dancehall/ DnB/ and primal rituals into her work with artist Kerin AKA Che3kz. They both share a love of hypnotic rhythm and big pulsating bass, lyrically delving into the personal and political, with the dancefloor and women’s voices being at the heart. They also collaborate on music for film & installations with artist Di Mainstone, most recent being Radical Rooms exhibition @The Royal Institute Of British Architects.  On the track ‘My Block’ with Kerin AKA Che3kz, The Wig produces alongside her stepson young producer/Mc Sol Jacobs. 

Percussion Assassin aka Howard Jacobs

Percussion Assassin also known as Howard Jacobs is a multi-instrumental session musician, composer and collaborator. He is a drummer and percussionist with Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners. He also arranges some of the bands tunes

He has played in some of the world’s leading venues and he has performed live with Paddy Steers Homelife, Lotus Pedals, Graham Massey’s Toolshed, RSL, Nobodies, 52 Skidoo, The Nightcreatures, Creak, No Good Beatniks and is co-director of Cuban big band, Orquesta Timbala.

Howard has collaborated with Manchester-based composer and producer, Mandy Wigby, as Architects of Rosslyn.

Howard has recently been performing with 808STATE, Architects of Rosslyn and Phil France of The Cinematic Orchestra , whilst also working in the studio with both 808STATE and Beth Gibbons of Portishead.

MC Crystalize

MC Crystalize is a much loved and respected member of the Manchester black music community and he has made his mark on the hip hop and the jungle scene, releasing quality mix tapes and appearing on countless shows over the years. He is a highly talented artist, writer, poet, producer and outstanding DJ. He is also a hugely respected youth and community leader in Manchester, who has supported many young people on their musical journey of self expression.
